J Tribe Creations is a small indie business located in the beautiful state of Georgia and owned by artisan, Rhonda J.
JTC is a reflection of my arts and provides people with unique & affordable products allowing them to express their individuality. I enjoy creating & a majority of my life I was told I should "do something with my talents". I was raised on a farm by my grandparents who taught me many of the skills I use today like sewing and beadwork. My 1st "paying" art job was as a full-time dyer for a man who sold wholesale clothing back in the early 90's. I was highly influenced by many Lot sellers at shows. I have learned and practiced various forms of dyeing techniques for over 30 years now. When I was younger I put on my traveling shoes and saw much of the USA for several years. But I returned to my beloved home state of Georgia and set down my roots. Now me and my family enjoy vending music festivals, plus it helps my cravings for road trips!
I get great joy from being able to put my talents to work so that at the same time I can devote more time to my family. I enjoy creating wearable works of art. Because it is frequently asked: I am of mixed indigenous heritage (Cherokee & Choctaw) but I do not hold or desire an CDIB nor am I registered with my related tribes. So that I do not violate the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990 I cannot list my work as such.
We enjoy traveling to sell my art, seeing new sights, hearing incredible music and meeting so many fabulous & talented people.
Life is pretty amazing.
